We carried out exhibition support at the Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. booth planned by insight-i inc. at the 59th Annual General Assembly and Scientific Meeting of the Japan College of Rheumatology, held from April 23 to April 25 at the Nagoya Congress Center.
The purpose of using Pepper was to increase the number of booth attendees and to create a space where attendees would take their time at the booth.
Therefore, we deliberately set up a booth that was surrounded by a wall and whose content could not be seen.
As a result, not only did we provide a space where people could relax, but we operated a booth that made clear the flow of people from the entrance to the exit.

A total of more than 900 attendees visited the booth over three days. Also, more than 280 people participated in the commemorative photograph event carried out within the booth, enabling us to exceed our target figure.

Not only could people view the content of the exhibit, they could enjoy interacting with Pepper, and the curtain was able to close on a "huge success" that included the smiling faces and laughter of many people, which were not visible in the statistics.

Greetings and Conversation

Upon finding customers coming to the booth, it greeted and communicated with them.
Because its reaction when called and when its face was touched was cute and enjoyable, many people called it and touched its face.

Presentation of Special Qualities & Characteristics of Products

It explained the special qualities and characteristics of products to the customers who attended.
Also, within the explanation of the special qualities and characteristics of products, it gave hints for a quiz conducted at the booth and helped the attendees with their answers.

Commemorative Photographs

One of the two Peppers was in charge of commemorative photographs, and many customers had commemorative photographs taken.
Although the photographs were printed and distributed later, many customers revisited the booth to take their photographs home.

Effects of Introducing Pepper

Increased Customer Attendance Periods

Although customers visited the booth, the number of people receiving drinks and leaving soon thereafter was an issue.
This time, not only did the amount of time that customers stayed at the booth increase, they also listened to Pepper's explanation of the panels and read the exhibited panels more.
They could look more closely at the content of the exhibit, to the extent that customers said to staff members that they had "learned something."

Increasing the Number of Attendees

The booth distinguished itself from the other booths, and with such word of mouth as "there's a new experimental booth" and "Pepper is cute," many customers visited the booth.

That so many people visited the booth, whose interior could not be seen from the outside, that a line formed caused comments of surprise from the people at other booths.

Repeat Business

There were customers who visited the booth numerous times to enjoy talking to Pepper via the "Tsukami Talk Pepper" of "Probo", a product of our company.

Repeat customers calling to people who hadn't yet visited the booth, and revisiting the booth themselves, was connected to the increase in attendees.
