At VILLAGE VANGUARD, UENO MARUI store, we held sales promotion campaign utilizing Pepper as an inbound strategy.

In such circumstance, we held store sales promotion campaign for Chinese tourists. we developed new Chinese language app for this campaign by utilizing Pepper apps of Headwaters Co., Ltd. which have many Pepper apps development results and operation know-how.

We held this campaign on the national holidays in China, Mid-Autumn Festival(September 26th・27th). At MARUI UENO, tax free register had been prepared and products from VILLAGE VANGUARD MARUI UENO store are also can purchase without tax.

This time, Pepper did demonstrate sales at an event hall facing outside. Just giving plain information is not like "Pepper", So we put our priority on entertainment, and developed apps using products.

Also, considering customers are going hog wild on a shopping spree, not only purchasing single product, but also promote set-purchasing with the other products. We made it as a products sells promotion model without a staff right next to customers all the time.

Chinese language ver.


The Pepper for this time can introduce products in Chinese language.
Pepper translate the words of products introducing with Chinese language button on his tablet monitor.

Chinese cloud dictionary is still under the process as the environment, Pepper is out putting Chinese sounds file following the action, and by Chinese language tuning, we make the sounds similar to the Pepper's voice as much as possible.

Effect of Stopping Passers Foot Is The Best


As the result of the campaign with Pepper, the percentage of succeed to stop the foots of customer was became 2.6 times higher, and most of the customers were listening Pepper's presentation till the end.
Chinese people like introduction of products in Chinese language, they push the button several times or they came back with their family to Pepper, as a process for recognizing of products, we found out that Pepper shows huge impact to it.

After stopping their foots, to make the percentage of purchasing higher, we had improved the very often the layout of the displays, informing by display ad, layout arrangement, leading wire design and so on, then we could make the percentage of purchasing higher.
The two days were meaningful to gain sells know-how and data.
